This unique online workshop teaches you how to look at some of the
world's greatest art
museums right from your own computer.
You will meet others and engage in thoughtful discussions while
interacting
with people of similar interests.
You will learn a simple vocabulary for talking about art even
if you have never visited an art museum.
In this class you will interact with others through discusions, a group project, and fun art games.
You will be able to test
your newly acquired art skills at your local art museum or gallery.
The workshop will also locate art museums in
your own neighborhood or surrounding community,
and discover the social events and volunteer opportunities
that are offered.

Meeting at the Museum
is taught by University art instructor Valerie Colston, author of 200 Projects to
Strengthen Your Art Skills. She has taught
Meeting People at Museums and
Galleries for the Learning Annex, and was owner of La Jolla Art
Tours.
The 4 week workshop is non-credit and the cost is $125.00.
