I have a Dream Box

Martin Luther King Jr.'s most famous I Have a Dream speech is meaning on many levels. One of the reason I think it touches so many is that we all do have a dream. We have dreams for the world, our community, our families, and ourselves. This project focuses on achieving those dreams by remembering what they are. Each student will create a dream box and insert their dreams and goals into the box. They will also list ways in which the goals can be accomplished. Box contents are looked at on a weekly basis. As dreams are accomplished students decorate the paper and keep it as a reminder that dreams do come true. Provide group with a recycled boxes, old books, multi media materials for decorating, and colored paper and pens or paint.
