In the Garden Thanksgiving Project

Materials Needed

Peat Pot, Potting Soil and Seeds

Paint Brush and Pain

Glue

Paper and crayons or markers

Instructions

Paint the peat pot. Let it dry. Fill it with potting soil and seeds.  Sunflower and Popcorn seeds go quickly. Create a turkey by tracing the child's hand. Decorate the hand turkey and wrap it around the pot and watch it grow.

Cross Curriculum:

Celebrate the artist Claude Monet this month. It's his birthday and a great time to learn some science and gardening skills. Create a classroom garden. Enhance reading skills by reading "Linea in Monet's Garden."
