New Years is Celebrated
in Japan with a Good Luck Doll ritual.    Darumas represent overcoming obstacles in life.  Use a plastic or wooden spoon and dress the doll,and  make a happy face on it.  Do not put arms on the Darumas.  They are traditionally without arms and rolled in the street to represent good fortune.
